Andy's Mail

How fast are the weeks flying by or is it just my old age ?

A devastating one point loss by the Seniors against Caloundra last weekend who we are competing with for fourth spot in the finals. Going to be hard graft to make it and I am sure the boys will be putting in 110% against Noosa at home this weekend so how everyone about getting down here and show our support.

Did you watch the All Blacks take care of business with the Springboks on Saturday night, amazing how well they play with hardly any Auckland players in the team.
Still worried about Robbie and what he has up his sleeve. An interesting note, if Will Genia does not run on against the Springboks Saturday week, the Wallabies biggest back will be their halfback. A bit of a worry.

Well the juniors are back in training for games this weekend starting with the junior colts at home on Friday night (again these boys are that close to making the finals) and of course in case you havent heard we are hosting the under 13 trials here on Sunday.
Keep those emails and calls rolling in to help out on the day. Most of you cannot have my new number but Marks is still the same.If we do this right we will be well placed to start applying for some really major events. So jump on board and come and have some fun for the day.

A good opportunity to talk about our volunteers. As you know we are all giving our time for the love of our game, club and kids. I also know that we get back tenfold in enjoyment of what we put in. However we do make decisions which not everyone is happy with but at the time that we make these decisions in the best interests of the team or club. The writer being the only exception to this as he is perfect in every way.

I noticed a few weekends ago a junior Manager being given a hard time by a couple of parents at a game. The same parents who were very quiet when I was trying to get a manager for that team. I know I am not a politician and at times it is very difficult to say nothing.  What I have to say is I am not only very proud of all our boys and girls playing out there but also of our coaches, managers and volunteers, without you we would not have a rugby club. So in case I dont say it to you personally, a big thankyou.

See you all on Friday
