Andy's Mail 18 June

 Hi guys

Another great weekend of rugby. Just how can a team demolish a scrum all game and still lose. Typical England. And I will say it again how well is Quade playing (and how many Poms will be calling me with every excuse).

Our seniors had a bye last weekend and are off to Hervey Bay on Saturday with the girls playing at Noosa, good luck to you all.

Special note for our next Seniors home game make sure you rock up not only to support our boys but also to see our under 4/5s development squad go through their routines at half time, it really is impressive seeing these Snakes of the future having a ball. The best fun will be watching Coach Charlene trying to organise a tunnel for the Seniors.

There was some great rugby played in our junior ranks, great to see the under 8s starting to score some tries. Special thanks to the under 7s backing up again. I only wish I had their energy. What a win from our 14/15s, a 14 man team with only 2 backs in the squad.

Another big weekend at Caboolture with everyone except the 16/17s playing at home. Help will be needed at the canteen so don't be shy in coming forward.

After a successful under 12s trial day we have been awarded the under 13s trials on July 18. With help from other volunteers and the under 16/17s parents stepping up to help during that day, we are going to need that amount of help and more so please come and see me and put your name down.
Now I stuffed up with the under 8s Bring a Mate to Rugby because apparently our feral cousins have some game on tonight. So it is definitely on next Wednesday. 5.30pm kick off with prizes and pizza and soft drinks afterwards. Doesn't matter what age but make sure you bring a friend. For those kids like me who don't have any just rock up anyway and we can be friends for the night.

BJRU meeting this week brought up an interesting point. This round BJRU people will be going around games again and will be paying particular attention to our field marshals and trainers. If things aren't done right our club will be fined $200.00 for EACH infringement. Ignorance is not an excuse.

So more work for managers--- You must ensure a parent puts on a field marshal vest--- Trainers must wear a Trainers vest have footwear on and stand near the 1/2 way line when not on the field--- Coaches are not to yell instructions to their players while the game is on and any coach or assistant coach cannot act as trainer. Parents are not to swear, I am sure everyone knows this club operates a zero tolerance spectator abuse policy, no exceptions, and if swearing is heard you will be asked to leave the grounds immediately.  Sorry to have to go through this but we have to ensure everyone knows the rules.
Reminder again our Dinner/Dance at the Burpengary Hall July 3rd be there or else. See me for tickets on Friday night. Just a hint and going back to me having no friends, I have only been invited to one pre dinner drinks party, so come on guys get your team together and start organising, I am expecting to be well on the way before I get to the Dance. And no word from Major Dan??

 See you all Friday night
