A great weekend of rugby.
 
Go the Stingrays for the Premier Grand Final on Sunday at Ballymore.
 
I was fortunate enough to head along to Albany Creek on Saturday to watch our juniors play. Just how far have our under 6's come in one season. Everyone having a ball. Well done Hilda.
The 7's as usual simply dominating the game - just can't wait until these boys and girls start tackling next year.  What a difference a week makes. The 8's coming off the back of a couple of pretty decent hidings running in four tries. And then the 9's, another well drilled team who just thrive on close contact. By the way they were pick and driving I almost thought they had a kiwi coach. He has probably watched a lot of Crusaders games.
 
Even better on Sunday at Ashgrove, our 13's totally outplayed their opposition to rock straight into the grand final on Saturday week.  That simple adage - if they don't have the ball they can't score against you!
 
So Saturday week at 10am Ballymore number 1 ground. I expect to see a big wave of support there.
 
I have had two major disappointments in my role this year. The first was having to expel a parent from the club and the other is having to cancel our Bundy trip. In both instances it is the kids who miss out. I had a good response from the 6 to 9's but heard nothing from the older teams. I cannot hold everyone's hand all the time and am bitterly disappointed that no one in the older teams bothered to let me know. Even if your team wasn't coming.  I am not even going to ask you if your team was contacted. We will have to change this next year.
  
I will be away this weekend so won't catch up with everyone until the 11th at Ballymore to cheer on our 13's so good luck to our juniors this Saturday.
 
Don't forget the Senior Presentations on Friday the 10th. Hopefully we will see some junior parents there to celebrate our senior's night.
