Andy's Good Mail

Hi Guys,

My apologies to the two readers for not getting out some news for the last couple of weeks when so much has happened on the rugby front.
Our Seniors won their final game but unfortunately finished 5th and missed out on the finals.

The last 6 or 7 weeks produced some great rugby from our boys and bids well for next season. Our Ladies won their 1st semi final and are well and truly in the hunt for Championship Honours.  Good Luck girls!

On the Junior front, final rounds were played for our older Juniors and our 13's finished their division in 1st place. An extremely tough competition for these boys so, good luck for the finals!

A busy time coming up in September - the 10th Senior presentation, 11th hopefully under 13's grand final at Ballymore  - 12th AGM at 10.00am followed by Junior Presentation Day at 1.00pm.
Now wouldn't it be nice to see some junior parents having a great night at the senior presentation and vice versa.

The 18th it is off to Bundy and we want as many players as possible for this trip so Coaches and Managers call your parents to get a commitment for the great end of season tour. If there is enough support we can organise buses etc. Notice is needed so please get back to me as ASAP.

I have to comment on the last Wallabies/All Black game in Christchurch. The All Blacks might be the same as the English Soccer team and choke at every world cup but right now they are a joy to watch, seeming to be in complete control throughout the game. Full credit to the Wallabies keeping within range.
I am sure Mark, who was at the game, can testify just how hard it is to play in Christchurch with near freezing conditions and the parochial one eyed Canterbury crowd, let alone against an All Black team playing so well. An interesting aside, there were 1.2 million people in New Zealand watching that game on TV, over quarter of the population. Now that is a rugby culture!!

See all the 6 to 9's on Friday night.

Go the Snakes.
